EXPRESSIONS OF HOPE – JULY 2020 UPDATE I want to start this monthly update with a couple cards I received this past month. I hope they remind you know how VERY IMPORTANT your contribution is to this organization!“ Thank you SO much for ALL the help! We did not expect full reimbursement but we appreciate it more than you know! And the kids say thank you too!” (from a couple who took in 2 children)“Thank you so much for the bed! I love it! It is great and was so easy to set up, not to mention comfortable! It means a lot that there are good people out there that care about others and take the time to help and reach out to them. So, thank you. Just a reminder, that what you do is greatly appreciated and noted. Again, thank you.” (from an aunt who took in 2 nieces and a nephew). My heart is full of gratitude for the opportunity we have to serve the foster care community! I have had extra time this past month to reflect on this gift as I was personally affected by COVID-19. I was thankful for the women who stepped up and kept things moving while I was not able to be at the Resource Center. Thank you to Janet, Sanna, Anna, and Emmeri for your gift of time. It was, and is greatly appreciated! We were also able to help several families with clothing and shoes, and baby items. The Foster Kids Fund, helped support a young child who needed an emergency dental procedure and the anesthesia was not covered by Medi-Cal, paid for 2 girls to attend Boys and Girls Club, and another student with her Senior pictures. As we keep moving forward, I want to share a couple of ways we are planning ahead for the next month.Trainings have not started yet, but in anticipation, we purchased individual desks and chairs that will give each person their own space and can be placed 6 feet apart. They are adjustable, wipeable, and they look really nice! Someday soon, I am hopeful they can be used for trainings again. We have reached out to the Resource Families to find out what their greatest needs are to help make remote learning more successful. The struggle is real, and we want to help provide the tools they need. Some of the suggestions were a desk, noise cancelling headphones and tablets. If any of you are willing to help out, we would be so appreciative of a donation this month.THANK YOU for your support, your interest, your prayers, and for continuing to serve alongside of us!With a grateful heart,Peggy ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌  ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌ ‌
